| With
a background in data and voice communications project
management, Cindy Turrietta founded her first internet
marketing business, CindyT.Consulting
DBA Affordable Search Engine Ranking in 2002. Born from
a desire to make a career change and a love for computers,
the internet and marketing, Cindy found herself at a
crossroads in her career. Wanting to continue on her
computer and communications path, Cindy decided that
Internet marketing was what she wanted to do.
Realizing that an understanding of how web pages are
built would be necessary in order to optimize them for
search engine ranking, she found some great free
multimedia classes offered by the San Diego Center
for Education and Technology North City/Career Center,
and began to learn web development. She also found a
comprehensive online
course in search engine optimization that enabled
her to become a Certified Search Engine Marketing Strategist.
In August of 2002 she attended her first Search
Engine Strategies Conference in San Jose and met
many of the leaders in the field of search engine optimization
and internet marketing and to her delight discovered
that San Diego was a mecca for Internet marketing companies.
Soon thereafter she was working on her first client
site and discovering what it takes to really make the
rankings happen. That site is still ranking today on
page one in Google for all of the keywords they were
targeting.
Summer 2004, Cindy met Mike Purdy of World Talk Radio
and became interested in developing an Internet talk
show on the subject of Internet marketing. She asked
Brooke Schumacher (www.BLineMarketing.com)
if she would be interested in co-hosting and they began
to put together a plan. Todd Sarouhan (www.GoVisitCostaRica.com)
soon joined and they recorded their first eMarketing
Talk Show episode on March 11, 2005. Digging deep into
her contacts, Cindy was able to attract such industry
leaders such as Catherina Seda, Shari Thurow, John Alexander,
Nacho Hernandez and the list
of interviews goes on. These industry leaders have
helped to make the eMarketing Talk Show what it is today.
At the end of 2005, Cindy accepted a Senior SEM Analyst
position with the prestigious SEO firm of Bruce Clay,
Inc. managing the firms PPC client accounts. There,
she honed her PPC skills on a variety of client campaigns
and then moved on to manage PPC and SEO for an established
online ecommerce site. Currently Cindy manages a select
group of small clients and is spearheading the development
of the eMarketing
Talk Show into a popular podcast on Internet marketing.
